The Dominican Institute for Integral Development (IDDI) celebrates the GLBTIQ+ Santo Domingo 2022 International Biennial in June at the Dominican College of Plastic Artists, with the support of the United States Embassy.
This innovative cultural initiative will be developed within the framework of the LGBTIQ+ Pride Month celebration and will feature the joint participation of 15 Dominican, American and Caribbean visual artists, whose works gravitate around the theme: "LOVE, the language that unites us" .
Timothy Brown, Acting Counselor for Public Affairs of the Embassy of the United States, expressed his satisfaction in supporting this cultural event that seeks the sum of wills and visions of equality from an artistic perspective and stated that "it is our desire, through this initiative, help promote a culture of peace, equity, equality and inclusion, in a space for artistic dialogue, non-discriminatory, where American artists together with local and regional artists, can make visible their interpretation of "LOVE, language that unites”.
